MDBooks came to reality by chance really. After spending time creating thumbnails for Youtube, I had experience of creating images using Canva. The ai tool in the program was pretty good at taking my text prompts and turning them into images I could use. So without any sort of plan, an idea started to form in my mind of making up a fictional story and using ai images to bring it to life.

I saw it as a challenge. One I had not attempted before. Could I do it? Was I capable? I asked myself a few questions and decided there was only one way to find out. Just do it!

In terms of a storyline, I had an idea based on my interests in motorcycling and what could I put together that other people might find interesting. The main scenario would be to pitch good against bad as an idea, whilst adding a touch of romance to the proceedings if possible. Having a male and female as the two main characters would appeal to both sexes in different ways. So the idea of “Ink trails of Vengeance” was born as my first attempt at fictional writing, albeit on a reduced state due to the graphic heavy nature of the story.

Story Plot: Without giving too much away, the story is all fiction but set in Cheshire. The villages exist but the characters are all ficticious. The main character is John Mitchell who has a passion for motorcycles and is a tattoo artist by profession. A series of local criminal events appear on John’s radar and heavily suggest that other motorcyclists are involved. John proceeds to investigate and finds a local Motorcycle club are offering its members much more than a leisurely weekend ride through the Welsh Countryside!

Throw into the mix, a hint of romance, lady bikers, some thuggery and much mayhem. Seems alot, but this is only the start!

Graphic Examples

Here are two randomly selected pages from the book in no particular order. These are just to give you and idea of how the story is presented. The complete story is 70 pages in length. Each page is A4 – landscape orientation.

MDBooks seems like an exciting and creative project! The use of AI to bring a fictional story to life is innovative, especially with the blend of motorcycling, romance, and drama. The concept of “Ink Trails of Vengeance” sounds intriguing with its mix of good versus bad and diverse characters. The landscape orientation and graphic-heavy style must make the visuals stand out. How did you balance the storytelling with the emphasis on visuals in the narrative?

Trial and error! It was all a learning curve. The journey is the best bit as you learn a process that will hopefully make things easier the more you attempt!
