The Tenderness of Wolves by Stef Penney
A snippet of information re this book. It won the 2006 Costa book of the Year. That’s how far behind the times I am when it comes to reading! Anyway not really a review this but more to give myself a pat on the back for persevering with it after a slow start. I am usually fairly quick at reading books but I kept getting distracted with this one, so it took me a while to get it over the line! It is worth a read. More of a slow-burner type story for me that was easy to follow, without too many subplots to worry about. So, yes there is a crime at the start and there are a few potential suspects. Various characters are intertwined as the story develops and secrets come to light that make the read more interesting than it looks at first glance! That is all I will divulge. So happy to recommend this, knowing you will probably finish it way quicker than I did!
